Take your next steps…

Get Involved Locally

There are so many ways to get involved:

  • Serve a local foster or adoptive family

  • Meet a physical need

  • Provide support to a Case Manager

  • Bring awareness to the local crisis

Not all can foster, but all can care. How will you care?

Learn about fostering & adoption

Making the decision to foster or adopt can feel overwhelming:

  • Learn more about navigating the foster and adoption journey through these short videos

  • Connect with our local Child Welfare Agency to begin your foster or adoption journey

We offer direct support to new foster and adoptive parents, and connect them with other families that “get it.”

Join the Theater Action Team

Passionate about turning awareness into action?

  • Volunteer to pass out “Take Action” cards at the end of local showing

  • Help movie goers learn how to take their next step

  • Encourage others to get involved locally

OUR STRATEGY

1. Help prevent children from entering foster care

2. Intervene with much-needed support once kids are in foster care.

3. Connect children and families for a lifetime.

OUR MODEL

We work toward this goal by equipping churches to:

  • Raise awareness around the needs of vulnerable children

  • Help prevent children from going into foster care by supporting biological families in need

  • Recruit and equip foster & adoptive families

  • Create Care Communities for those caring for kids from hard places

FAM

WE CALL THESE FAMILY ADVOCACY MINISTRIES (FAMs)

FAMs create much-needed support systems for foster & adoptive families, and biological families in crisis. Nationally, over 50% of foster families quit after the first placement. Did you know it’s not usually because of the child, but lack of support and isolation? When supported by FAMs and their care communities, over 90% of families foster 2-3 times longer!

Inspired by the powerful true story, Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, follows Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in the foster system that nobody else would take. By doing the impossible–adopting 77 children–this East Texas community proved that, with real, determined love, the battle for America’s most vulnerable can be won.
