Care Communities for Churches
Care Communities are one of the most impactful ways your church can support and strengthen a foster, adoptive or bio family in crisis.
This highly relational model of surrounding families who are loving kids from hard places with a volunteer “Care Community” is incredibly important.
Providing this kind of support is not only impactful for every person in the family being served– but it’s a powerful experience for volunteers who are busy, and yet are still committed to serving through action.
Promise Serves
Like many other ministries, having sustainable care communities requires relationship management, administration, and volunteer coordination. Promise Serves is a database management tool designed to handle the custom needs this ministry requires, minimizing the burden that many times come along with serving.
Promise Serves is incredibly helpful to help keep all of your volunteers and the families you are serving in one database created just for this purpose. An engineered team of four to eight volunteers commit to serve in a specific role for a specific amount of time, usually once a month for a year. This includes regular and ongoing practical help – meals, prayer, tutoring, babysitting, laundry, yard work, etc. – to support the family emotionally and spiritually and free up time and enrich the lives of those who have opened the doors of their home to children from hard places.
