Peggy Bush

Teen Family Specialist

Peggy, an Orlando native, has been supporting local foster families since 2011 through different non-profit organizations. In order to go deeper in helping families of kids with trauma histories, she completed her Masters in Human Services Counseling – Crisis Response and Trauma in 2020. She is also certified in Group Theraplay through The Theraplay Institute. Then she became a TBRI Practitioner through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University in 2022, and a facilitator for Making Sense of Your Worth in 2023. 

She joined the staff at Commission 127 in early 2022, after volunteering there in previous years. She has a passion to help families with kids who have experienced trauma not just survive, but thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys baking and traveling with her husband of over 35 years.
