Volunteer
Your once-a-month commitment may not seem like a lot, but to a family, it means the world.
What does volunteering look like?
Foster and adopted children have unique needs and require intentional focus from their parents.
Supporting these families in practical, hands-on ways provides a healthier context for a child’s transition into their new home. Volunteers offer support in the following ways:
Bringing weekly meals
Supplying or sourcing practical needs – eg. bunk beds, strollers, car seats, clothing
Transporting children to appointments
Mentoring children
Coordinating volunteers for a foster family
Becoming trained to provide respite care
Meeting real-time needs for biological families in crisis, such as car seats, furniture, assistance with expenses like utilities, or other items/support required for families to stay intact and outside of the foster system.
